Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney Parks Opening Date Announced
"Star Wars" fans, mark your calendars for an important, not-so-very-far-away date.
The highly anticipated "Star Wars"-themed land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will open May 31 at Disneyland Park in California.
Walt Disney World will open its version at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida on Aug. 29. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will transport visitors to the remote planet of Batuu, where they can enjoy rides, food, shops and entertainment that mimic "Star Wars" movies.

If you want to be one of the first to explore the new area of the Disney parks, you’ll have to make reservations.
From May 31 - June 23, guests will need both a Disneyland theme park ticket and a reservation to enter Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge to experience the new attractions.
Disney will announce how to make reservations at a later date, but there is one way to get ahead of the rush for reservations.
